BEN'S NEW WESTERN NOW AVAILABLE!

Violence at Sunrise by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges

Taking a break from his duties at Piccadilly Publishing, Ben has co-authored a new stand-alone western with Steve Hayes ... and what a western it is! Here's the blurb:

Nothing was going to stop Lute Dunbar from getting his revenge -- and certainly not the man who now stood before him, blocking his way.

He said: "If you plan on grabbing that gun, mister, you'd best get to it."

The invitation hit Cobb like a slap. Knowing there was no way back from it now, his right shoulder dipped, his knees bent just a fraction, and he was fast -- damn' fast.

But so was Lute.

A small red hole punched into Cobb's shirtfront and knocked him back through the batwings. He hit the boardwalk beyond with a hollow thud and as the batwings flipped open and shut, open and shut, Lute saw him squirm for a moment, like some gigantic worm, and then slowly roll onto one side, and finally over onto his stomach.

That was when Lute saw Cobb's back. There was nothing small about the exit wound. The .45-caliber slug had ripped Cobb's spine in two.

BEN'S WESTERNS TO APPEAR IN GERMAN-LANGUAGE EDITIONS!!!

The Silver Trail German Edition by Ben Bridges

Edition Barenklau announces:

"Good western novels are not only published in the USA, but also for example in England. David Whitehead has successfully written western novels under his pseudonym, Ben Bridges, for more than thirty years. His favorite authors are still John Benteen and Matt Chisholm. These writers inspired Ben Bridges at the beginning of his career, and he learned much from them about how a good and exciting western novel should be written.

Ben Bridges' first novel The Silver Trail (German Der Silber-Trail) shows similarities with the figure of the adventurer FARGO, which John Benteen described so well.

"Ben Bridges has released around 60 westerns as well as many action, horror and other suspense novels, sometimes in collaboration with other authors. A few years ago, together with his English colleague Mike Stotter, he founded the eBook publishing house Piccadilly Publishing, where he and Mike continue to publish novels by authors who have personally influenced and inspired them.

"We are very proud that the novels of Ben Bridges are finally being published in German language as eBooks by Edition Barenklau. Excitement and thrilling adventures are guaranteed -- written by an author who has been close to the western genre for decades."

BEN LAUNCHES NEW WESTERN SERIES WITH BRENT TOWNS!!

Bugles and Blood by Ben Bridges and Brent Towns

Ben has collaborated with Australian western writer Brent Towns on a new western series, featuring Lew Eden, the Seminole-Negro scout first seen in Ben's Company C series. Featuring a standout cover by Tony Masero, Bugles and Blood takes place before Lew's move to Arizona and the Company C adventures, and promises to be a thrill-a-minute ride for everyone involved! Here's the synopsis, just to whet your appetite:

Lew Eden was thirteen when he killed his first man. A lot more died at his hand before he finally had his fill of blood and bullets. Then he decided to enlist in the newly-formed Seminole-Negro Scouts, hoping to do what he could to broker peace between white man and red. But an Indian-hater named Cramer killed Lew's Sioux woman. After that, Lew wouldn't rest until he'd put one last man in his grave. But Fate had other ideas. Scouting for General Crook, he was to take part in the Battle of the Rosebud, where the killing started up all over again ...

SHADOW FLATS AUDIO BOOK NOW IN PRODUCTION!!

BEN'S LATEST SCREENPLAY NOVELIZED BY BRENT TOWNS!!!

Shadow Flats by Brent Towns

Ben's latest screenplay, Shadow Flats, looks set to start filming in spring 2018, with director Paul Vernon presently in Arizona, scouting locations and meeting potential cast members. In the meantime, prolific western writer Brent Towns has written an excellent adaptation of the movie-in-waiting, which is now available for download, exclusively through Amazon. Here's the blurb:

They hit the Stone Springs bank and took with them a hundred thousand dollars in cold, hard cash. Behind them they left a town in ruins and enough bodies to start a whole new cemetery. Mild-mannered rancher Ethan Haywood was in town for a wedding -- though he himself had had enough of marriage to last him a lifetime. But when the outlaws shot his little girl in the getaway, something in him snapped. Once upon a time he'd been a Confederate sharpshooter with more than a hundred kills to his name. But after the war he'd sworn never to kill again. Seeing what the outlaws had done to young Emmy, though ... well, killing them was going to be a pleasure. But no one gave thought to Shadow Flats itself. It was an arid wasteland the outlaws had to cross if they wanted to reach Mexico. And the desert itself had other ideas where they were concerned ...

TWO MORE LARGE PRINT REISSUES ON THEIR WAY!!!!

Riding for Justice by Ben Bridges The Plainsman by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges

Ben's 1990 Judge and Dury western Riding for Justice is coming out in a new Large Print edition in October, with his collaboration with Steve Hayes, The Plainsman appearing the following month.

BEN'S FIRST PUBLISHED BOOK HEADS FOR A WHOLE NEW EDITION!!!!

The Silver Trail by Ben Bridges

"Back around 1978/79," writes Ben, "I wrote a western called Shimmering Silver, but all it got me was yet another rejection slip to add to my ever-growing pile. One day I was bemoaning my continued lack of success to Peter Watts, who wrote westerns as Matt Chisholm, and he told me to send him what I thought was my best book to date, that he would read it and then tell me where I was going wrong. He did just that, and I've used the valuable lessons he passed along to me ever since. I re-wrote the book in 1984, called it The Silver Trail, switched the hero from a one-eyed Pinkerton detective called Logan Tyree to a rough-and-tumble freelance fighting man called Carter O'Brien, and lo and behold, it was accepted for Robert Hale's Black Horse Western line. It was published in 1986."

Now, thirty-one years later, we finally have a new edition to look forward to, coming out under Ulverscroft's Linford Western Library imprint in September. For the trivia-buffs among you, Logan Tyree eventually appeared in O'Brien's second adventure, Hard as Nails!

TO THE DEATH! AUDIO BOOK GOES INTO PRODUCTION!!

COMPANY 'C' RIDES AGAIN!!!

To the Death! by Brent Towns

Prolific western writer Brent Towns has taken over the reins of Ben's Company 'C' series. Working closely with Ben, who is now acting as editor, Brent has already delivered his first book, To the Death! and is now poised to begin his second, Fight Like Hell!. At the moment the first book, which continues the saga of Captain Nathan Kelso, which began with Hit 'Em Hard! is only available in ebook format, but we expect print editions and an audio book to follow shortly. Here's the blurb:

They fought like demons in a Mimbreno stronghold ... Captain Nathan Kelso was on the brink of drunken oblivion. He'd lost the respect of his commanding officer, and Company 'C' had been unofficially disbanded. Now, with both bronco and Mimbreno Apaches raising hell throughout the territory, Company 'C' is finally called back into action -- as an escort detail under the command of Major Matthew Hackett. But things go wrong from the get-go. A patrol under a green lieutenant is all but wiped out, and an incident involving two rabid coyotes sees Hackett badly injured. At least now, Kelso is back where he belongs -- in command of the best damn' company the cavalry has to offer. When things go from bad to worse, however, Kelso has to lead his men into the Santa Rita Mountains on a do-or-die mission to save five female prisoners of the Apaches. It's a trail that will see Kelso and Company 'C' fighting -- to the death!

SOME OLD FAVORITES MAKE A WELCOME RETURN ... AND THERE'S EVEN A NEW AUDIO BOOK COMING!!!

AT LAST -- THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN OF CARTER O'BRIEN!!!

Flame and Thunder by Ben Bridges

A decade after his last appearance in Draw Down the Lightning, Ben's most enduring character, freelance fighting man Carter O'Brien, is back in the long-awaited Flame and Thunder ... and doesn't disappoint!

It stood to be the biggest oil well in the territory ... provided wildcatter Bud Bishop could bring it in before his lease ran out. But the Irishman wanted to make sure he didn't. Then he figured to move in, take ownership and keep all the spoils of Bishop's hard labor for himself. So Bishop's backers hired freelance fighting man Carter O'Brien to keep Hugh Quillan's bully boys off his back long enough to get the job done. But the closer it came to the deadline, the harder Quillan started to play. Finally, with the odds stacked against him and the threat of a full-scale war about to bust wide open, O'Brien -- himself still healing from a previous assignment -- did the only thing he could. He made sure his guns were loaded, and then set about fighting back.

The ebook is available worldwide via Amazon, and you can order the paperback edition here.

NEW CHILLS FOR NOVEMBER!!

Sherlock Holmes vs Frankenstein by David Whitehead

Ben's novelization of the forthcoming movieSherlock Holmes vs Frankenstein is coming out in Large Print from F. A. Thorpe in November. For those who missed it the first time, here's the blurb again:

Only the most intriguing mystery could lure Sherlock Holmes from the comfort of Baker Street in the winter of 1898 ... and it came with the ghastly murder of a gravedigger in the most bizarre of circumstances. Thus it was that Holmes and Watson traveled to the tiny German village of Darmstadt to unmask a callous killer with an even more terrifying motive ... and all within the long, ominous shadow of Castle Frankenstein ...

The long-awaited second volume in the Western Legends series by Ben and Steve Hayes is now live exclusively through Amazon as a digital download, with paperback editions in large and standard print, as well as an audio version, to follow. To whet your appetite, here's the blurb:

After he saw his father set upon and stabbed, nothing was ever the same for the boy who would grow up to become Buffalo Bill Cody. The hatred and bigotry his family suffered in Kansas led him to kill his first man when he was just ten years old. And in the years that followed, he would face one battle after another -- against marauding Cheyenne, against the elements and against the Great Plains themselves. But there was no quit in Will Cody. He was, as his friend Wild Bill Hickok had said, "all spit and grit." He'd need grit, too, to survive the Pony Express, the Civil War and merciless guerrilla fighters like William Clarke Quantrill and the James Boys. For Will Cody, however, the greatest challenge of his life was still to come. And even he didn't think he could survive it."

A brazen daylight robbery at Christie's becomes the talk of London, but Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson are no longer in the business of solving crime. Holmes has retired to Sussex, to keep bees, and Watson, recently widowed, has returned to general practice. But when Watson, desperate for distraction, agrees to accompany his old friend to Vienna, to visit eminent neurologist, Sigmund Freud, it is not long before the pair are pulled back into the murky world of ruthless criminals bent on abduction, intimidation and murder. A shadowy terrorist group, The Black Hand, is plaguing the city, and when the tentacles of a crime committed in England reach across to Vienna to coil around Harry Houdini, the famous American escapologist, the Great Detective and his Boswell relish the chance of solving yet another puzzle.

BEN'S FIRST GRAPHIC NOVEL FOR SEVEN YEARS IN THE WORKS!

The Medicine of Takes Many Horses by Ben Bridges and Alfred Wallon

Ben has recently been collaborating with internationally-renowned artist and good friend Tony Masero on a new graphic novel for Plugged Nickel Comics. It's an expanded adaptation of The Medicine of Takes Many Horses, one of the stories that appeared in the recent collection Five Shots Left. For Ben, it's the first artist's script he's written since the 2008 Commando yarn The Buccaneers!. We're hoping it will be the first of many collaborations between Ben and Tony.

HELL ON EARTH AND ALL GUNS BLAZING GET THE AUDIO BOOK TREATMENT!!!

Hell on Earth Audio Edition by David Whitehead All Guns Blazing by Ben Bridges and Alfred Wallon

The latest titles to get the audio book treatment went into production today (April 21 2015). Quintin W. Allen, who did such a great job on The Fluttering, Scare Tactics and Dead Ringers is presently bringing his own distinctive sound to Hell on Earth. Quintin is the professional's professional, so we know it's going to be good ... but we can't help wondering right now whether or not he's going to stumble over any of the genuine Latin spells the story contains! Meanwhile, our old friend Chaz Allen, who has previously recorded a number of Ben's westerns, starts work on All Guns Blazing ... and we can't help wondering if Chaz is going to have any trouble with the Comanche dialogue in Chapter One!

A GREAT NEW LOOK FOR ALL GUNS BLAZING!!

All Guns Blazing by Ben Bridges and Alfred Wallon

Ben has always considered ALL GUNS BLAZING, his first collaboration with Alfred Wallon, to be an excellent western based on historical fact. But for some reason it's never really gotten the exposure or readership it deserves. Maybe a new cover and a complete revision of the manuscript will change its fortunes!

Anyway, here's the blurb: "Cal Hennessy was on his way to meet up with old friend Billy Dixon at Adobe Walls. The plan was to catch up on each other's news over a beer or three. But before he got there he ran into two dead men and a bunch of blood-hungry Comanches. Trouble was brewing on the Staked Plains of Texas and Hennessy, who was no stranger to it, quickly found himself in the middle of a full-scale Indian war. He was a tough hombre. But was he tough enough to survive the killing to come?"

2015 UPDATE!!!

Flame and Thunder by Ben Bridges Send for Morgan Starr by Ben Bridges

2015 is already shaping up to be a busy year. Ben is presently working on his fifteenth O'BRIEN western, Flame and Thunder, which is set in the Oklahoma-Kansas border country and takes place a month or so following the dramatic events described at the end of Draw Down the Lightning. This time everyone's favorite professional fighting man finds himself caught in the middle of a savage war to claim what might just turn out to be the biggest oilfield in history! He hopes to follow this with a stand-alone western called Send for Morgan Starr and then Sherlock Holmes and the Ace of Spades, which will once again be written in collaboration with Steve Hayes, and published under Ben's real name. The Large Print rights have been sold in Five Shots Left and other Large Print editions scheduled for this year include the novelization of Day of the Gun and Sherlock Holmes and the King of Clubs, both in August, and The Oklahombres in November.

FIVE SHOTS LEFT -- A BESTSELLER!!

Five Shots Left by Ben Bridges

The popularity of Ben's collection of western short stories, Five Shots Left, has exceeded our wildest expectations. Since publication in February, it has hit the Number One spot on Amazon's list of the Top 100 Short Story Collections on no less than three separate occasions! Reviews have also been very favorable, with one reviewer stating that it is "Close, oh so close, to Louis L'Amour." High praise indeed!.

DAY OF THE GUN -- DVD RELEASED!

Day of the Gun DVD Day of the Gun by Ben Bridges

Wayne Shipley's movie, Day of the Gun, has finally been released on DVD by Monarch Home Entertainment, and is now available in stores and online. So you finally get the chance to see the movie and then compare it to Ben's adaptation of the screenplay!

Of the adaptation, Wayne Shipley said: "I could not be happier. I certainly didn't expect Ben merely to put meat on the bones of a shooting script; but he went above and beyond in breathing new life and energy into those bones. My hat's off to him. I'm most impressed no only with his skill as a wordsmith, but also with the instincts and insight he brought to taking the characters beyond their 'two hours traffic' on the screen. I found that I could -- early on -- divorce myself from the characters I had lived with for the better part of three years and almost effortlessly follow as Ben weaved in and out of the source to create a fabric that was both familiar and brand new. Reading the novel became, quite simply, fun."

BEN'S NEW COLLECTION OF WESTERN SHORT STORIES HIT THE E-SHELVES!!

Five Shots Left by Ben Bridges

Five Shots Left, Ben's new collection of western short stories, is now available exclusively through Amazon, in digital format. It takes the three stories that originally appeared in Three for the Trail and adds two completely new ones, The Medicine of Takes Many Horses and The Hanging Gun. Here's the blurb:

When you've only got five shots left, you have to make each one count. Like the outlaw whose quest for revenge didn't quite go according to plan. Or the cowboy who ended up using a most unusual weapon to defeat his Cheyenne enemy. Then there was the storekeeper who has to face his worst fear; the down-at-heel sheepherder who had to set past hatreds aside when a bunch of renegade Comanches went on the warpath; and the elderly couple who struggled to keep a secret that threatened to tear them apart.

AN EXCITING NEW-LOOK FOR THE THREE GUNS WEST SERIES!!

Three Rode Together by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges Three Ride Again by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges Hang Shadow Horse! by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges

The bestselling Three Guns West series has just been given an exciting makeover.

A STAR IS BORN -- WELL, ALMOST!!

Under his real name, Ben recently made a cameo appearance in Season Two of Richard Cutting's astonishing noir soap opera about UFOs, Milgram and the Fastwalkers, upon which he also acted as an Associate Producer. Season One very quickly achieved audience figures of more than two million per episode, and has since won a whole slew of awards.

Milgram and the Fastwalkers tells the story of Sally Lemm, a highly-stressed hotshot corporate litigator, who begins to experience strange dreams that apparently stem from anxiety and sleep loss. At her wit's end, Sally eventually consults prominent clinician Dr. Daniel Milgram (played to perfection by the show's creator, Richard Cutting). Challenged by the difficulty of Sally's case, Dr. Milgram reluctantly becomes a psychiatric detective in an increasingly non-rational world. Both Sally's and Dr. Milgram's personal lives and successful careers evolve into a turbulent hall of mirrors once the dark and secret world of alien presence and abduction intrudes.

Ben plays a British UFO expert -- thankfully briefly! -- in Episode 6, which can be found here.

BEN'S NEW WESTERN WITH STEVE HAYES NOW AVAILABLE!!!

The Oklahombres by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges

Ben's latest collaboration with Steve Hayes is now available, and furthermore, The Oklahombres is based on real-life events!

It didn't matter a damn that Bill Doolin had never killed another man, that he was a loving husband and a devoted father with a young son. No -- Bill became a target for every Deputy U.S. Marshal in Oklahoma Territory because the people hailed him as "The King of the Outlaws." That alone meant he had to die -- so his fate would set an example to anyone who thought of following his in his footsteps. While Bill and his gang, the Oklahombres, raised hell throughout the Twin Territories of Oklahoma and the Indian Nations, U.S. Marshal E. D. Nix sent three hundred of his best men out with orders to catch or kill them. And that army of badge-packers were led by Nix's 'Three Guardsmen' -- the living legends that were Bill Tilghman, Heck Thomas and Chris Madsen. But that was the thing about the Oklahombres -- they were going to be living legends too ... or die trying!

The ebook is available throughout the world exclusively from Amazon. The paperback can be purchased here.

Small wonder that Ben and collaborator Steve Hayes are already plotting their fourth outing for Holmes and Watson, Sherlock Holmes and the Ace of Spades, in which our intrepid duo come face to face with ... ah, but that would be telling! Let's just say Ben and Steve hope to raise a few eyebrows with the next book!

DAVE'S NEW WESTERN NOW AVAILABLE!!

Hang Shadow Horse! by Steve Hayes and Ben Bridges

Dave's new western with long-time collaborator Steve Hayes, Hang Shadow Horse!, has just been published in ebook (as always, exclusively through Amazon) and HEAVILY-DISCOUNTED paperback, available here. To whet your appetites, here's the synopsis:

"The Portuguese slavers called him Sam because they couldn't pronounce his real name. They tore him away from his homeland and put him to work picking cotton in the Tennessee Valley. But the big, fleet-footed Zulu was nobody's slave, and to prove it he escaped and headed west. Throwing in with a medicine show conman named Doc Jonah, Sam started entering county footraces to earn enough money to go back to Africa. But then his trail crossed that of Major Lawrence Devlin, and nothing was going to stop the ruthless rancher's man from winning the Fort Stockton Carnival Week race. From that moment forward Sam was cheated, beaten, shot and hunted like an animal. Worse, they took his beautiful grullo mare, U-Shee-nah, away from him. But that was Devlin's biggest mistake, because it only made Sam more determined to get his revenge ... and as Shadow Horse he became Devlin's worst nightmare."

Great care has gone into the production of this large-format paperback, which also comes with a dustcover. FIRST LOOK AT THE LATEST SHERLOCK HOLMES LARGE PRINT EDITION!!

Sherlock Holmes and the Knave of Hearts by Steve Hayes and David Whitehead

We've just had our first look at the forthcoming Large Print edition of Sherlock Holmes and the Knave of Hearts, which is being published by Ulverscroft in February 2014. Steve and Dave are still busily plotting their fourth Holmes mystery. Here's the blurb for Knave of Hearts:

Following a prolonged cocaine binge, Sherlock Holmes is closer to death than Dr Watson has ever seen him before. Fearing for his friend's wellbeing, the pair repair to France, there to enjoy a leisurely convalescence at the home of Holmes's old friend, Henri Gillet. But even before they reach Paris they become embroiled in a perilous mystery of the like even they have never encountered before. Who, for example, is the strange man with the peculiar fascination for raindrops? And why does someone want one of France's most beloved novelists dead? Before the final explosive confrontation, Holmes and Watson must tangle with a cold and calculating brotherhood for which no crime is too ghastly, especially if it helps to further their own sinister ends ...

DAVE TURNS MOVIE PRODUCER!!!

<

Dave writes: "Last night I had the great privilege to watch Wayne Shipley's new western, Day of the Gun. Although I'm connected to this project as a producer and am also presently novelizing the screenplay, nothing could have prepared me for what Wayne, his cast and crew, have achieved. With many stunning visuals and a stirring musical score that is easily the equal to Hollywood's finest, Day of the Gun is a very special movie indeed -- a class act all the way. This is a traditional western about ordinary folks caught up in extraordinary times. The locations are eye-catching, Wayne's direction and the photography of his cameramen exceptional. The period is evoked well and the acting is uniformly impressive. Eric Roberts plays gunman Abraham Tanner with subtlety and nuance. My pal Richard Cutting makes a supremely oily villain. John C. Bailey as rustler Caleb Bateman is superb. But for me the show is stolen by the performance of Sam Lukowski as young Ned Carter. Sam is able to bring a real sense of pathos to his role that is not easily forgotten. Moving, exciting, compelling, thoughtful, this is truly a movie to watch out for, and I urge you to support it when it becomes available. As you can tell, I'm proud indeed to have been even a small part in this wonderful production. For more information, click here.

FIRST LOOK AT THE NEW SHERLOCK HOLMES COVER!!!

Sherlock Holmes and the King of Clubs by Steve Hayes and David Whitehead

We've just had our first look at Derek Colligan's fine painting for Sherlock Holmes and the King of Clubs, which is being published by Hale in April 2014. Steve and Dave are presently plotting their fourth Holmes mystery. Here's the blurb for King of Clubs:

A brazen daylight robbery at Christie's becomes the talk of London. But Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are no longer in the business of crime. Holmes has retired to Sussex to keep bees, while Watson, recently widowed, has returned to general practice. When their paths cross again, however, Holmes invites his old friend to accompany him on holiday to Austria, where he plans to visit the eminent neurologist, Sigmund Freud. Grateful for the distraction, Watson agrees. But for the Great Detective and his Boswell, intrigue is never far away. For ruthless criminals are at work in Vienna, and their business includes abduction, intimidation ... and murder. With Vienna a hotbed of intrigue, there is no shortage of suspects, chief among them a shadowy terrorist group called The Black Hand. But although the crooks are playing for high stakes, their objective remains shrouded in mystery. How can a crime committed in England relate to the puzzling events in Vienna? And what bearing does it all have on a visiting American by the name of Erik Weisz ... better-known as escapologist Harry Houdini?

Arizona Territory, 1882. The Apaches were riding rings around the army, raiding, robbing and killing pretty much wherever they liked. To beat them, Captain Nathan Kelso knew he had to fight them on their own terms, hitting fast and hitting hard. But who was going to listen to a washed-up, borderline drunk? As it turned out, he received support from a surprising quarter, and was ordered to form Company C, a light, mobile unit dedicated to bracing the Apaches wherever they found them. To prove themselves, the men of Company C were given a mission that took them deep into the very heart of Indian country. After that? Hell, after that, things just got even tougher for Kelso and Company C ...

DAVE THANKS HIS READERS WITH A SPECIAL, LOW-PRICED KINDLE WESTERN!!

Blaze of Glory by Ben Bridges

May 2012 has been a remarkable month for our e-books. At one point Dave had no less than eleven books in Kindle's Top 100 westerns. Sales on Hangman's Noose were so impressive that they pushed him all the way to the Number Two spot (curse you, Zane Grey!). To show his appreciation, Dave has just released his stand-alone western, Blaze of Glory, at a special low price to say thank you to his readers. Check it out -- you won't regret it!

Blurbs can be found on our Kindle Collection page!

TWO MORE WESTERN REISSUES FOR APRIL 2012!!

Hard as Nails by Ben Bridges Coffin Creek by Ben Bridges

As we head towards May 2012 two more Kindle e-book reissues hit the Amazon stores. This time out we present Dave's second published book, Hard as Nails, a tight and tense O'Brien yarn from 1987, which sees O'Brien join forces with another of Dave's 'professional fighting man' characters, the one-eyed, cigar-chewing Logan Tyree. We're especially thrilled with this book because it features an exclusive cover by the legendary Tony Masero. The second of the two reissues is Coffin Creek, the first book in a projected series set in and around a Texas railroad town. This one was originally published as a Black Horse Western in 1992, under the 'Matt Logan' pseudonym. Blurbs can be found on our Kindle Collection page!

TWO NEW WESTERN REISSUES FOR APRIL 2012!!

Apacheria by Ben Bridges Marked for Death by Ben Bridges

April 2012 sees the appearance of two more e-book reissues, 2000's Apacheria and Marked for Death, which dates all the way back to 1993. Apacheria introduces Major Sam Lockwood and his Galvanized Yankees as they fight not only to survive one of the harshest environments on the planet but also to maintain law and order in an increasingly lawless land. Marked for Death gives professional fighting man Carter O'Brien an unusual mission indeed when he is hired to ride shotgun on ... ah, but that would be telling! Less than two weeks after publication on 29 February, the Large Print rights in Sherlock Holmes and the Queen of Diamonds were snapped up by F.A. Thorpe ... who is also publishing Blackout! in November 2012. Critic Rachel A. Hyde reviewed the Holmes book very favourably on MyShelf and that review is reprinted here on our Critics Rave page. Steve and Dave were also interviewed about the book, and you can read their comments here. And Dave scored a particular triumph when no less than ELEVEN of his books appeared in Amazon UK's list of top 100 bestselling ebook westerns! Highest-ranked was Hangman's Noose, which reached the Number Four spot. As always, this was only made possible by you, the readers, and we continue to be very, very grateful for your continued support!!

Blood Canyon by Ben Bridges Squaw Man by Ben Bridges

Our latest e-book reissues provide a welcome opportunity for newer readers to enjoy two of Dave's best-loved characters in action. As usual, both books feature hard, fast-paced action and more than a few plot-twists along the way, and as always can be downloaded AT BARGAIN PRICES from Amazon's sites in America, the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. Blurbs can be found on our Kindle Collection page!

NEW HORROR FROM DAVE!!!

Demon-Slayer by David Whitehead

Dave's new 17,000-word horror novelette, Demon-Slayer has just been published in Kindle e-book format only. Here's the blurb:

Older almost than time itself, the demonic Council of Thirteen had only one goal -- to bring the full terror of Hell to Earth. There was only one thing stopping them -- Archer, the young man who had been raised from birth to fight the Council and its minions every step of the way.

Now, after years of training, Archer is finally sent out into the world with orders to hunt down and slay a demon that's terrorizing Paris. But along the way he also learns a secret his masters have always kept from him -- a secret that will put his eternal crusade in a chilling new light.

The story has the potential to run as a continuing series, but that decision will be based on how well the book sells. As usual, check out Amazon's Kindle pages in the UK, America, France, Germany, Spain and Italy for more details ... or just go to our own Kindle Collection page.

ALL THANKS TO YOU!!!

As the month has progressed, Hangman's Noose climbed highest, reaching the number nineteen spot, while three further books, including The Wilde Boys, made their first appearance in Amazon UK's overall western bestseller charts.
